為取得供詞指證秋雨聖約教會領袖王怡牧師「顛覆國家政權罪」，中共對該教會多名信徒刑訊逼供，甚至強灌不明藥物，套取假證詞。據悉，這項罪名可致其被判處15年有期徒刑。
自從成都秋雨聖約教會王怡牧師於去年12月被抓之後，他的母親遭到毆打，一家人被監視，王怡的辯護律師也一度被帶走接受審訊。
四川省的成都秋雨聖約教會被強行取締，教會牧師王怡受到「顛覆國家政權罪」的指控，一些信徒至今仍被關押。該教會的一名女信徒曾6次被抓捕，其遭到警察毆打的細節得以曝光。
中國各地簽名聯署聲明以聲援宗教自由的牧者遭到監視、關押，他們的教會被關閉。這場打擊基督徒的行動是繼去年5月事件的最新進展。
