《聖經》是公認的對全世界影響最大的一本書。然而在中國這種影響力就意味著要遭到執政當局的打壓，甚至有信徒因複印聖經章節就被判重刑。

中共加大力度查禁《聖經》等宗教書籍

當局不斷加強對三自教會裡非官方出版的《聖經》的管控，以及對非官方出版的宗教刊物的查禁、打壓。有消息人士向《寒冬》雜誌透露，一些三自教會裡的非官方出版的《聖經》正遭到清查、收繳。

2017年11月底以來，遼寧省東港市孤山鎮盟興印刷廠因給瀋陽市一書店印刷宗教常用書籍被中共政府重罰，工廠老闆不間斷地被中共警察傳喚、威脅，印刷廠多次被強制搜查。書店被查封印刷廠被抄經營者被抓、罰款 2017年11月，瀋陽一書店因售賣基督教書籍遭當局查封並被罰巨款三十萬元人民幣。由於該書店售賣的小冊子《要道問答》是由盟興印刷廠印刷（事件發生時，印刷廠已停印該小冊子，只有一些殘次品留在倉庫未處理），2017年11月29日下午1點多，遼寧省丹東市公安局、文化稽查局、孤山鎮政府及派出所聯合出動，一行三十多人將印刷廠團團包圍，隨後一行人強行闖進廠房，一進屋就先將電腦查封…
