據天亞社報道，5月29日，香港天主教正義和平委員會（Justice and Peace Commission of Hong Kong）發出一份聲明，呼籲中國政府釋放羅馬天主教河北宣化教區的助理主教崔泰。在中國，崔泰屬於「地下教會」牧師，他在今年4月被帶走後就失去了音訊。委員會要求中共政府允許其接受醫療照顧，並且釋放其他在押的河北省神職人員。天主教香港教區榮休主教陳日君樞機在臉書上發帖，呼籲中國政府尊重宗教自由，「停止不人道的非法關押」，
